The Barn Project - Page 10

Feb 2008 and apart from a cold snap, a little more work has been done.

The main roof is now water-tight! All velux windows are sealed and the stone ridge is on. A cement and lime mix was used for securing the ridge and other pointing details.

As Penny Bricks & Timber now manufacture Oak Trusses, it would be silly not to create our own master piece.
The kitchen will be 8.0m wide (26 feet) and an impressive King Post Truss was needed. Also, the kitchen has an octagonal south wall so creating an octagonal king post truss was interesting to say the least.
Here you can see the final assembly taking shape.
Should you have any questions about this or any other truss you may be considering have made, please give us a call.
The next few photos show the process we had.

Some of the work is made by machine, some by hand.
We can now under take Queen Post Trusses, Raised Tie and Mono Trusses to suit most sizes.
Drawings are required and most trusses can be turned around within 6 weeks from ordering.

Why stop at trusses when we offer beams and porches to match.
