The interior wall downstairs are now been constructed using 6" (150mm) square posts. The wall shown in the picture is taken from the hall towards the lounge. The curved timber in the centre will be the framework for a pair of solid oak doors and the panels to the left and right will be half glazed to allow plenty of natural sunlight from the large opening of the main entrance on the right hand side. To the top of the picture are some larger oak beams used to create the bridge and landing area over the hallway. These exposed beams will be the main feature in this area spanning over 5m in length. Next month we aim to take a picture of most rooms downstairs so you can get an idea of the layout. |

The garage is now watertight and apart from the guttering and electric doors, this is now finished. A matching pantile has been used in the construction of the roof and a 3" handmade reclaimed bricks has been used for the walls.
