Its now early October and although on budget the project has slowed slightly due to a little rain and other business commitments.
As you can see there is now scaffolding up, the roof has been removed and new timbers are creating the roof on the left hand side.
To the left shows a close up view of one of the 9 king post trusses that will be on view throughout the barn.
This is a new venture for Penny Bricks and can now be manufactured to yur own requirements, design and colour.
These trusses are left in their natural form and when the building is water tight, we shall paint on an acid to remove all water marks, stains and other imperfections.
We do not beleive in shot blasting and this procedure is a lot less dusty.
To the right shows a brick detail that will support the main king post trusses in the main roof. This exposed brickwork continues a theme throughout the build.
