We now supply air dried oak beams.
This is when a freshly sawn tree, know as green oak with contains a lot of moisture, is cut to size and stored for a period of time to allow the timber to dry.
On aveage a beam takes 1 year to dry 1 inch of timber. Typically, our stocks are between 2 and 5 years air dried.
As this timber is square and straight, we have the option of producing many shapes by undergoing certain procedures, see the menu above.
