As a supplier of reclaimed creosoted railway sleepers, we feel obliged to inform you of the European Directive 2001/90/EC dated 26th October 2001. The directive DOES NOT restrict the supply or sale of second-hand creosoted railway sleepers, but does limit the ways in which the timber can be used.
1. Inside buildings
2. In toys
3. In playgrounds
4. In the manufacture of garden furniture
5. In contact with raw materials destined for human or animal consumption
6. In parks, gardens and outdoor recreational leisure facilities where there is a risk of frequent skin contact.
What is Frequent? To remove this uncertainty, Penny Bricks & Timber Limited now inform all customers that the goods supplied are a CREOSOTED PRODUCT AND NEEDS TO BE HANDLED WITH GLOVES
