This transformation can be as sutle or as dramitic as you wish. Usuing a variety of chainsaws, bandsaws and other hand held tools, we can virtually shape any piece of oak to fit in with your project.
As this shaping process is complete bespoke, not all ideas can be listed here, although some examples shown require further information from yourselves ie dimensions and so that we fully understand, a sketch is always a good idea.

The shaping of your beam is known as adzing (pronounced - 'add-zing') - We offer a light, medium and heavy adze depending on your requirements. As the raw materal, shown right, is square, we even have the ability to arch sections within a beam to create the perfect inglenook beam. All we need to know are ALL the dimensions. ie the length,. height and width of the beam as well as the start and stop points and degree of curviure needed!
