Type of Oak
Air Dried European Oak, seasoned between 1 and 5 years.
Characteristics
Four clean square edges, limited or no sap wood. Colour can vary from light oak to silver grey depending on age and surface shake are visible due the drying process.
Weight
Green oak or freshly cut timber holds a lot of moisture and this weighs approx 25kg (55lbs) per cubic foot. As the timber dries, the weight is reduced; therefore a maximum of 25kg is used.
Cleaning Process
This involves the removal of all dead wood, de-nail where necessary; treat for woodworm, dry rot, wet rot and death watch beetle. Stain to a colour of your choice and finish with a light wax coating.

Although delivery can be nationwide, prices are quoted depending on length of beam and distance involved.
